2018 SLIAC Spring All-Academic Team

2018 (JUNIOR): Played in 44 games and made 41 starts on the season at second base ... Hit .321 with 45 hits, scored 24 runs, hit nine doubles, one triple and 40 RBI ... The 40 RBI were second most on the team ... Had 10 multi-hit games and led the team with 11 multiple RBI games, including a four RBI game at Greenville (4/24) ... Was one of only seven Gorloks to record a four hit game as he had four hits against Spalding (5/11) in the SLIAC Tournament ... Went 13-for-16 on stolen bases ... Had 140 at-bats on the season and walked seven times and struck out 18 times ... In the field, had a .979 fielding percentage as he committed just four errors in 198 fielding chances ... Helped turn 30 of WU's single-season school record tying 44 double plays ... In SLIAC play, hit .320 in 19 games and 18 starts ... Had 16 hits, 14 runs, 18 RBI and was 9-for-9 on stolen bases in league play. 

PRIOR TO WEBSTER (Greenville University): Played two seasons for fellow SLIAC member, Greenville University and Coach Lynn Carlson ... In his two seasons with the Panthers, he played in 91 games and recorded 80 hits, scored 52 runs, hit five doubles, one triple, six home runs and 45 RBI in 289 career at-bats ... Went 22-for-27 on stolen bases and drew 30 walked and had just 25 strikeouts ... As a sophomore in 2017, hit .298 with 45 hits and 30 runs scored, while hitting five doubles, one triple, five home runs and 24 RBI ... Hit .254 with 35 hits and 22 runs scored as a freshman in 2016 ... Had one home run and 21 RBI and was 11-for-13 in stolen bases.

HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered for four years (2012-15) in baseball at Lutheran South High School for Coach Steve Pfund ... Was a three-time All-Conference selection in baseball ... Also lettered in basketball at Lutheran South ... In the classroom, was a member of the Academic Honor Roll in 2014-15 ... Played club baseball for Rawlings Tigers.

PERSONAL: Born April 24, 1997 … Son of Joe and Vicki Strohm … Business major … Has one brother, Ryan, who is a graduate assistant basketball coach at Kansas State University ... His father Joe is 33-year employee with the St. Louis Cardinals and is currently the club's Vice President of Ticket Sales ... Likes to lift and hang out with friends ... Is a member of FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) at Webster ... Wants to be a strength and conditioning coach after graduation.
