Webster University Athletics

Kyle Jones enters his first season as the Sports Information Director at Webster University.

Prior to Webster, Jones served as the Assistant Sports Information Director at Illinois College for the 2023-2024 academic year. While at IC, Jones was responsible for assisting the coverage of 24 varsity sports, taught multiple student-interns and student-workers day-to-day operations, and played a part in the coverage of three Midwest Conference championship teams.    

Jones also served as the Assistant Sports Information Director at Missouri S&T (Div. II) from 2022-2023. At S&T, Jones assisted the sports information director in maintaining statistical information, historical data, and providing media coverage for all 17 of the department's varsity sports programs.

Before that, Jones was the Assistant Athletic Media and Communications Director at Lyon College and an Assistant at Salina Liberty Indoor Professional Football team where he was the team's statistician. 

Jones is an alum of Illinois College and graduated with his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with an emphasis in Sports Management in 2019. During his undergraduate studies, he worked in the sports information office as a student assistant from 2016-2019.

After graduating from IC, Jones attended Grand Canyon University where obtained an MBA in Sports Business in 2020. During graduate school, Jones worked for the Phoenix Suns in the marketing department promote kids programs, tickets, and brand awareness. 

Jones was born and raised in Pekin, Illinois and enjoys playing sports in his free time.
