10-Goal Outburst By Gorloks Downs Blackburn

The Webster University men's soccer team snapped their three-game winless streak in a big way on Wednesday, Oct. 8, defeating Blackburn College 10-1. This marks the second time this season that the men have scored 10 goals in a game.  The victory gives the Gorloks an overall record of 3-5-3 and a conference record of 2-1-1.  Though the team scored 10 goals, they all came from three sources:  Kevin Fann (3), Andy Rudroff (3), and Mike Riti (4).  Another offensive standout was Mike Politte, who tacked on three assists in the game.
The Gorloks will take this momentum into another SLIAC contest on Oct. 11.  The men will take on Eureka College in Eureka, Ill.  Webster is currently in a three-way tie for fourth place in the SLIAC, along with Fontbonne University and Westminster College.  Eureka is eighth in the standings.  The men will return home on Oct. 15, when they will play Westminster College.
