The Webster University men's soccer team extended their upbeaten streak to four games as they downed defending league champion Fontbonne University 2-0 on October 3 at Gay Field.

Senior Mike Riti (Webster Groves HS, STL) scored two second half goals to provide all the scoring.  The first came on a pass from Andy Rudroff (SR, DeSmet Jesuit, STL) and the second on a header off a flick by Mike Politte (SR, St. Francis Borgia, STL).  Senior goalkeeper Matt Geringer (Hazelwood Central HS, STL) recorded his second shutout of the season.

The Gorloks now have won three straight games, all against St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opponents, putting them at 3-0 in the SLIAC.  A showdown against Principia College (2-0 SLIAC, 9-0 overall), 5th-ranked nationally in the NCAA III, is up next on October 6 at the Soccer Park.,
