Gorloks drop two to Coe

WINTER HAVEN, FL - Webster's spring break trip to Florida continues to be a rough stay for the Gorloks as they dropped two to Coe, 15-5 and 7-5, to bring their losing streak to five.

Webster committed eight errors in the first Coe contest, allowing 10 of the 15 runs to be unearned. Freshman Mike Gebhardt (0-1) took the loss, surrendering seven runs (five earned) on four hits in 1 1/3 innings.

Senior Dakota Huey was the lone Gorloks with multiple hits, going 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Huey, sophomore Craig Schaefer and freshman Joe Biagini each recorded three hits as Webster pounded out 11 hits in falling to Coe, 7-5.

Webster fell behind 5-0 after four innings before getting a three-spot in the sixth inning. Two of the three runs came off Schaefer's triple. He later scored on a ground out by Zach Little. However, the Kohawks retaliated with two run in their half of the sixth.

RBI doubles by Biagini and Schaefer capped the Webster scoring in the eighth.

Junior Bryan Stanley (0-1) was saddled with the loss, allowing seven runs (five earned) on 13 hits in 5 2/3 innings.
