Craig Schaefer's one-out single scored
Alex Raetzloff from second with the winning run as Webster upset No. 16 Illinois Wesleyan, 10-9, Saturday in the second game of the Central States Trailways Classic at GCS Ballpark.
Raetzloff, who came into the game with just three hits on the season, keyed the Webster offense going 5-for-6 with two runs and two RBI. The senior infielder started the winning rally with a single to right field. He moved to second on freshman
Chris Bielanski's second sacrifice bunt of the game. After freshman
Joe Biagini walked, Schaefer found the hole on the left side of the field to secure the upset victory.
Schaefer's big hit was needed after the Titans scored two runs in the eighth and ninth innings to tie the game at nine.
Two home runs keyed a the five-run fourth inning that gave Webster a 6-0 lead. Senior
Andrew Fuiten started the inning with his first home run of the season. A single and an error had the Gorloks in business again. Back-to-back RBI singles by junior
Zach Little and Raetzloff boosted the WU lead to 4-0. Biagini capped the scoring with a two-run home run to right.
Illinois Wesleyan almost immediately began its trek back. The Titans scored one run in the fifth, three in the sixth and one in the seventh to pull to within 6-5.
Undeterred, Webster responded with three runs in its end of the seventh. Fuiten started the inning with a double, but was knocked off at third on a fielder's choice. A double and walk loaded the bases. An error and walked brought home two runs, then Biagini brought home his fourth run of the game with a sacrifice fly.

Ricky Pisani recorded his first multi-hit game of his career, going 2-for-2 with a run scored.

Bryan Stanley (1-1) earned the victory in relief. He surrendered four runs in two innings of work. Junior
Will Savage went six innings, yielding four earned runs on 10 hits with seven strikeouts.
NOTES
- The runs scored by Illinois Wesleyan were the first runs allowed by Webster pitching in the eighth inning this season.
- Alex Raetzloff, after started the first eight games at centerfield, started at second base.
- The two home runs hit today where more than they had on their spring break trip to Florida.
