The Webster University men's soccer team defeated Blackburn College (IL), 1-0, on October 9 at AB Soccer Park.  Kyle Leifield (SR, Marquette HS, STL) scored the Gorloks lone goal, and GK Alex Cupp, (JR, Lutheran South HS. STL) made it hold up with the shutout.

Leifield's goal was his first of the season, and came off a chip by Matt Mantia (SR, Webster Groves HS, STL).  Cupp's shutout was his third on the season.  The game was scoreless at half, but Leifield's goal at the 64:00 minute mark turned out to be all the Gorloks needed.

The Gorloks are 3-1 in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and 7-3-2 overall.  Webster has back to back road games this week on October 12 at Westminster College, and on October 16 at Principia College (IL).
