The Webster University men’s baseball team started a pivotal series with a win, defeating Greenville College (IL), 13-4, at GCS Ballpark on April 30.
David Mueller (SO, Westminster Christian HS, STL) improved his record to 7-0 on the season, pitching seven innings. Webster has won 13 straight games overall, and 12 straight in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
The Gorloks are 20-1 in the SLIAC with three conference games left to play. The Panthers came into the game in second place with a 15-3 record in the SLIAC, and fell to 15-4 as the Gorlok bats came alive again. Webster pounded out 12 hits and scored in the double digits for the 19th time this season.
Craig Schaefer (JR, Cartersville HS, IL) led the Gorlok attack with a three for five performance, with three runs scored, and three RBIs.
Webster travels to Greenville for a double-header on May 1 and concludes the SLIAC schedule with a single nine-inning game on May 9 at Westminster College.
