Alex Cupp (JR, Lutheran South HS, STL) recorded his second straight shutout as the Webster Univeristy men's soccer team beat Concordia University (IL), 3-0, at A-B Soccer Park on September 11.  The Gorloks evened their season record at 2-2-1 with their second straight win.

Webster took a 1-0 lead at 10:00 of the first half, on a Clint Carder (SO, DeSoto HS, MO) head ball off a Kyle Leifield (SR, Marquette HS, STL) cross.  The goal was Carder's third of the season.  Junior Shea Vogt (Marquette HS, STL) added a goal four minutes later on a shot off a crossbar rebound.  Juergen Rama (SO, Mehlville HS, STL) competed the scoring with his first goal for the Gorloks, at the 69:00 mark of the second half.

Cupp has lowered his goals against average to 1.91 after the shutouts, and has only allowed three goals in his last four games.

The Gorloks will face Augustana College (IL) at A-B Soccer Park on September 12.  The team has a week off before travelling to Galesurg, IL, to face Knox College on September 19.
