The Webster University men’s soccer team lost, 2-0, to host Rhodes College in the Greg Volgas Memorial Classic in Memphis, TN, on September 5. The Gorloks fell behind 1-0 at the 30:00 mark of the first half and the Lynx iced the game with a second goal at 70:00 of the second half.
 
Webster finished the Classic 0-1-1 and is 0-2-1 on the season. Rhodes had defeated fellow SLIAC member Principia College, 1-0, on the first day of the Classic. 

The men travel to Jacksonville, IL, to play Illinois College on September 8, before returning home on September 11-12 to host Concordia College (IL) and Augustana College (IL).
