The Webster University men's baseball won its season opener, 5-4 in 12 innings, over Coe College (IA) in Orlando, FL, on March 5.  The Gorloks played the first of eight games of their spring break in the Central Florida Invitational.

Steven Dooley, a junior transfer from Florissant Valley Community College, picked up the win in relief as Webster took the victory in extra innings.  Webster, the defending St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference champs, won its third straight season opener.

The Gorloks will face Beloit College (WI) in a double-header on March 6 and will take on Aurora University (IL) on March 7 before taking a two-day break.  Webster returns to action on March 10 vs. Bethany Lutheran College (MN).
