Gorloks Beat Beloit, 9-5, in Nightcap

Baseball Picks Up Split, Goes to 2-1

The men's baseball team rallied to score four runs in the eighth inning as Webster University picked up a split vs. Beloit College on March 6 in Orlando, FL.  After losing the opener 3-0, the Gorloks came back to win game two, 9-5.  Freshman Michael Aaron (Edwards County HS, IL) drove in two runs in the four-run eighth and was two for four on the day.  Jason Gray (JR, North Central CC, MO) picked up the win in relief.

Heavy winds over the first two days of the Central Florida Invitational have limited power, and the Gorloks have had to rely on their running game to help manufacture runs.  Webster stole nine bases in the contest with Cody Stevenson (SO, Centralia HS, IL) picking up four on the day, and Aaron pilfering three.

Webster plays a single game vs. Aurora University (IL) on March 7 and takes two days off before facing Bethany Lutheran College (MN) on March 10.
