Gorloks Win Slugfest Over Panthers, 17-12

No pitching duels this time as the Webster University baseball team won at Greenville College, 17-12, on April 6.  When the  teams met one week ago, they split a double-header with each team's starting pitcher throwing a gem.  Offense ruled the evening as the Gorloks scored a season-high 17 runs as they won their fourth straight game.

David Mueller (JR, Westminster Christian Academy) had a rough outing for the first time in 2011, but still pitched five innings and managed to pick up his fourth win, improving to 4-0.  Mueller had a two-hit shutout against Greenville on March 30.

Paul Kienker (SR, St. John Vianney HS) and Anthony Genna (SR, Lyons Township HS, IL)  paced the Gorlok attack, both homering for the first time this season.

Webster is 5-1 in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and 12-4 overall.  The Gorloks are back home for a single game on April 8 vs. Principia College (IL).  They travel to Elsah, IL, for a return double-header with the Panthers on April 9.
