Unable to capitalize on another solid start by David Mueller (SR, Westminster Christian Academy), the Webster University baseball team fell to Benedictine University (IL), 2-1, on March 16, in the final game of the Central Florida Invitational.  Webster finished with a 3-3 record on their spring trip.

Mueller went seven innings, allowing two runs, and just one earned.  He has pitched seven plus innings in all four of his starts in 2012, allowing only in 29 innings.  Despite the effort, Mueller suffered his first loss of the season and fell to 2-1.

Webster is 7-6 overall on the season.  The Gorloks will play at Washington University on March 21 and return to GCS Ballpark on March 24 in St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action vs. Principia College (IL).
