Mustering only six hits and no runs in two games, the Webster University softball team lost to Washington University, 4-0 & 6-0, on April 15 at Blackburn Park.  Kristin Rolla (SO, O'Fallon HS, IL) accounted for a third of Webster's hits on the afternoon, singling in both contests.

Trisha Thompson (SO, Xavier Prep HS, Az) deserved better than a loss in the opener, pitching seven innings, allowing three earned runs on five hits and two walks, while striking out seven.  Thompson fell to 8-8 on the season.  In the second game, starter Ashley Meagher (JR, Dupo HS, IL) did not have her best stuff, allowing 10 hits and walking five over seven innings.  But three of the six runs Meahger allowed, all in the first inning, were all unearned.

The Gorloks fall to 13-19 on the year and have a SLIAC showdown looming on April 18 vs. Fontbonne University, in Clayton.   Fontbonne sits atop the SLIAC standings with a 6-0 record.  Webster, at 7-3, is in second place.
