Box Score The Webster University baseball team fell to 0-2 on its spring break trip to Florida, losing to Wheaton College (MA), 7-1, on March 8 at Auburndale.  The Gorloks banged out 10 hits on the afternoon but could only muster one run in the loss to the Lyons.

Freshman Josh Fleming (Columbia, IL/Columbia HS) had his first start for Webster, going four innings.  Fleming gave up nine hits and walked two, allowing five runs while striking out four in taking the loss.

Jack Bensinger (SR, Los Angeles, CA/Campbell Hall) went 1 2/3 innings in relief, giving up one run, and Matt Goro (SO, Wildwood, MO/Lafayette HS) had a scoreless inning.  Mitch Stefani (JR, Aurora, IL/Waubonsie Valley HS) made his first appearance of the spring in relief, going 1 1/3 innings and allowing one run.

Jeff Kammer (SR, Chesterfield, MO/Lafayette HS) had a solo homer in the eighth for the Gorloks lone run.  It was Webster's second home run of the season, both by Kammer.

Kammer was 2-4, with home run, RBI, and run scored.  Kyle Uhrich (SO, St. Louis, MO/Maryville University) was 2-4, with a double, and Connor Hogan (New Lenox, I /Lincoln Way West HS) was 2-4 with a triple.

Webster faces #9 ranked Marietta College (OH) on March 9 at Port Charlotte, FL.  The Gorloks will take on Rhodes College (TN) back in Auburndale on March 10.
