Quisenberry Hat Trick Fuels Webster Win

Coming off a big win to secure a spot in the SLIAC Tournament, the Webster Univesity men's soccer team cruised to a 4-1 win at Eureka College, on October 29 in Eureka, IL.  Drew Quisenberry supplied all the offense needed with a hat trick as Webster finishes 6-3 in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

Zach Judis (FR, New Albany, OH/New Albany) started the Gorlok scoring with his first collegiate goal at 9:43 in the first half.  Noah Whalen (FR, St. Louis, MO/Parkway Central) assisted on the goal.  Quisenberry (SO, Morton, IL/Morton) scored his first goal at 16:40, with Brendan Shields (SR, St. Peters, MO/Ft. Zumwalt East) assisting.  Quisenberry made it 3-0 exactly one minute later, this time assisted by Angel Jasso (SR, Kileen, TX/Shoemaker).  Webster took the 3-0 lead into the half.

Eureka got on the board with a goal at 81:07 in the second half, breaking Webster starting goalie Eli Smith's (FR, Orlando, FL/Dr. Phillips) shutout bid.  Quisenberry completed the natural hat trick (three straight goals), with an unassisted score, with just four seconds left in the contest.  Quisenberry has four goals on the year, tying Zach Gyuricza (SO, Chicago, IL/St. Viator) for second on the team.

Smith picked up the win and is now 3-2 for his freshman campaign.  He faced seven Red Devil shots and made one save.

Webster is 6-3 in the SLIAC and 8-9 overall.  The Gorloks will play in the semi-finals of the SLIAC Tournament on November 3, heading to Louisville, KY, to face number one seed Spalding University.  The Gorloks lost in overtime to the Golden Eagles, 1-0, on October 25 at the Soccer Park.  The winner of the contest will play the Fontbonne University/Westminster College winner on November 5, with the highest remaining seed hosting the championship.
