The Webster University women's soccer team scored a lightning fast goal, but still lost to Rose-Hulman Institute (IN), 2-1, on September 15 at the Soccer Park.  Chelsea Noser's quick strike turned out to be the Gorloks only goal of the night.

The Gorloks had one of their quickest goals to start a game in recent memory when Noser (SO, Collinsville, IL/Collinsville) took a pass from Brianna Pagan (JR, St. Louis, MO/Washington) and fired it in for a 1-0 lead, 45 seconds in to the contest.

Play was fairly even for the rest of the half, with Webster keeper Alysa Coralic (SO, St. Louis, MO/Mehlville) having to make a couple goal-saving stops to keep the score at 1-0.  But the Fightin' Engineers got on the board at the 36:00 mark on a goal off a corner kick to tie it at 1-1.  Coralic wound up making two saves as Rose-Hulman had nine shots and three on goal.  Robin Bolme (JR, Smyrna, TN/Blackman) took over the nets in the second half.

Rose-Hulman took the lead at the 59:30 mark in the second.  A cross to the middle of the box was settled by a Fightin' Engineer, who was one on one with Bolme, and she lofted a shot by Bolme for a 2-1 Rose-Hulman lead.   

Webster is now 1-3 on the season.  Rose-Hulman improved to 4-2 and is now 3-0 vs. SLIAC teams with wins over Greenville College, Westminster College, and Webster.

The Gorloks travel to Memphis, TN, for a pair of contests this weekend.  Webster plays Hendrix College (AR) on September 17, then plays host Rhodes College on September 18.
