Gorloks Distribute Wealth While Staying Perfect At 6-0 In SLIAC

The Webster University women's soccer team kept hold of first place in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference with a 12-0 win over Eureka College, on October 18, at the Soccer Park.  The undermanned Eureka squad wasn't able to put up much of a fight as Webster goes to 6-0 in the SLIAC.

Webster sprinted to an 12-0 lead in the game's first 25 minutes with, unbelievably, 12 different Gorloks scoring.  The Webster scoring was as follows:

Abbey Mercer (SO, Granite City, IL/Granite City) played the first half in goal for Webster.  She picked up the win and is 4-0 on the year.  Alisa Coralic (JR, St. Louis, MO/Mehlville) took over in the second half in the nets to share in the shutout.

The Gorloks wore their pink jerseys, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Webster, ranked sixth in the Central Region, is 14-1 overall, as they are 6-0 in the SLIAC.

The Gorloks will host Principia College on October 21 at the Soccer Park.  It will be Senior Day for the Gorloks' as six players will be honored as they near the end of their soccer careers at Webster.
