FENTON, Mo. - Entering Tuesday's match with Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College, Webster University men's soccer had scored a total of four goals in its first four matches this season, but on Tuesday, the Gorloks scored four goals in its 4-0 shutout victory over the Pomeroys at World Wide Technology Soccer Park.

Freshman midfielder Ben Appelbaum (St. Louis, Mo./Parkway South) would tally his first career collegiate goal in the 75th minute as he took a pass from junior defender Miles Minnaar (Carmel, Ind./Carmel) and connected on a shot from 20 yards on the left side to give the Gorloks a 3-0 edge.
