MORRIS, Minn. - Webster University concluded its two match road swing to open the 2018 season here Sunday afternoon by posting a 1-0 shutout win at the University of Minnesota-Morris and has opened the season 2-0 for for the first time since 1999.

It was the 10th shutout for the Gorloks since the beginning of the 2017 season and in fact, it was Webster's third straight shutout dating to last season as they shutout Principia in the first round of last season's SLIAC Tournament, but the Panthers won the game on penalty kicks.
In Sunday's win over Minnesota-Morris, the Gorloks only goal came in the 12th minute of the contest as junior defender
Chris Clay (Quincy, Ill./Millikin) lofted a shot from the right side near midfield for his first goal of the season.
Neither team would score the rest of the first half, but Webster did have another chance to add a goal in the 14th minute, but a shot from junior midfielder

Three of those nine shots in the second half came off the foot of sophomore midfielder
Hunter Olaso (Kailua-Kona, Hawaii/Kealakehe). In addition to Olaso, Clay, freshmen midfielder
Justin Kohler (Waterloo, Ill./Waterloo) and sophomore forward
Ben Aziz (Paris, France/Marquette) each had two shots in the win.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Matt Amick (St. Louis, Mo./Lindbergh) has now played 180 minutes this season and has yet to allow a goal and in fact has faced just eight shots in the net through two matches. In Sunday's match, Amick, who has now tallied five career shutouts and is 7-0-2 in his career, recorded two saves on Sunday and has had three saves on the season.
