Kasper Scores Two Goals in Overtime Setback at Monmouth

MONMOUTH, Ill. - Webster University concluded its two match road swing in Illinois here Saturday afternoon as the Gorloks suffered a 3-2 setback in overtime to Monmouth College in non-conference regional action at Peacock Memorial Athletic Park.

Trailing 1-0 after Jacie Reis scored an unassisted goal in the 22nd minute for Monmouth, Kasper would tie the match a 1-all after taking a pass from sophomore midfielder Julia Paradise (St. Louis, Mo./Parkway North) and finding the net for her second goal of the season and 36th goal of her career.

Just eight seconds into the 35th minute of the match, Kasper would give the Gorloks a 2-1 lead as she took a pass from sophomore midfielder Jordan Bilyeu (St. Louis, Mo./Lindbergh) and connected on her second goal of the match. It was the sixth time in her collegiate career that Kasper has scored at least two goals in a match.

The Scots would get goal from Kara-Jade Gordan off a pass from Devin Cross in the 54th minute to tie the match at 2-all.

In the 64th minute, senior midfielder Savannah Page (Sandy, Utah/Jordan) put a shot on goal, but it was saved by Quinn Cutler and Bilyeu would put a shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the shot was saved by Quinn to keep the match tied.

Page would put another shot on goal just 40 seconds into the overtime period, but Cutler would record her eighth save of the match to keep things even.

Nearly three minutes after Page's shot, Baltierra-Chavez would find the net for the game winning goal.

Bilyeu led Webster with four shots and three shots on goal, while Page and Kasper each had three shots and all three of those shots were on goal.

Reis and Gordon each had two shots for the Scots.
