ST. LOUIS, Mo. – This afternoon the Webster University women's soccer team took the field as they played host to the Principia (Ill.) College Panthers in a SLIAC matchup. The Gorloks defeated the Panthers by a final score of 9-0 to improve to 9-3 on the season and 5-2 in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. With the loss, the Panthers fall to 2-7-1 on the year and 2-6 in SLIAC play.
Prior to the start of the game, the Gorloks honored their nine seniors for their hard work and dedication to the Webster University women's soccer program. The nine seniors that were honored were
Sady Bayne,
Chloe Dedic,
Jordan Lande,
Reaghan Young,
Jordan Bilyeu,
Ryleigh Grommet,
Kaitlyn Theriot,
Jenna Stobie, and
Julia Paradise.
The Gorloks dominated the possession in this one as they outshot the Panthers 33-3 in the match. They put 19 of those 33 shots on target while limiting the Panthers to just two shots on target in the game. The Gorloks also added four corner kicks in the match compared to just one from Principia.
Webster scored early and often in this one as they finished with six goals in the first half and three goals in the second half.
Jordan Lande had two goals and two assists in the first half to lead the Gorloks. She now sits at 13 goals on the season, and five assists, for a team leading 31 points on the year.
In addition to Lande's first half goals,
Ryleigh Grommet finished off her first of the season,
Emily Buchholz tallied her first of the season,
Olivia Alvarez scored her third of the year, and
Hope Dedic finished off her third of the season to round out the scoring in the first half.

Mackenzie Sundhausen, and Abby Poe had the assists for Webster.
In the second half of the game,
Kaitlyn Theriot scored her first goal of the season,
Isabella Dickneite finished off her first of the season, and
Jennifer Munger scored her second of the season.
Sady Bayne,
Angie Calabrese, and
Sophie Thoman had the assists on the goals.
Taryn Banfield was in goal for the Gorloks as she made two saves in the contest for her fifth solo shutout of the season.
The Gorloks are back in action on Wednesday, October 13
th when they travel down the road to take on Fontbonne (Mo.) University in a SLIAC matchup. The game is set to kick off at 8 p.m. at Centene Stadium in Clayton, Missouri.
