FENTON, MO. - Webster University men's soccer continued its hot offensive play here Wednesday evening in its St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opener against Greenville as the Gorloks held a 17-3 edge in shots and scored four goals en route to posting a 4-0 shutout win over the Panthers at World Wide Technology Soccer Park.
With the win, Webster improved to 3-0 on the season and 1-0 in the SLIAC, while Greenville fell to 0-3-1 overall and 0-1 in the league.
Wednesday's four goal match marked the second consecutive four goal match for the Gorloks as they opened the home portion of its 2020-21 season this past Saturday by scoring four goals in a 4-1 win over Fontbonne.

Aamahn Murvin (Sahuarita, Ariz./Walden Grove) and freshman forward
Mark Moore (Hillsboro, Mo./Hillsboro) each recorded four shots in the match and two players combined for three of WU's five shots on goal in the match.
After neither team could get much going for most of the first half until midway through the 39th minute as junior midfielder
Matt Huster (Imperial, Mo./Seckman) took a pass from Moore off a rebound and connected on a goal from three yards out to give Webster a 1-0 lead.
About two minutes later, Murvin scored his second goal of the season as he took a pass from freshman midfielder
Noah Abraham (Hazelwood, Mo./Hazelwood West) and put a shot over the outstretched arms of the Greenville goalkeeper from about 15 yards out to give Webster a 2-0 lead.
About 16 minutes into the second half, senior forward
Ben Aziz (Paris, France/Marquette) connected on cross from Murvin and found the goal to give Webster a 3-0 lead.
Moore would then delight his men's basketball teammates just five seconds into the 67th minute as he put a shot into the goal from about 25 yards out that went into the top corner of the goal. Moore's shot came off a long pass downfield from senior goalkeeper
Matt Amick (St. Louis, Mo./Lindbergh). Moore is a dual sport athlete at Webster as he is a member of the men's basketball team and played a basketball game on Tuesday night against Iowa Wesleyan, before playing Greenville in a soccer match about 24 hours later.
Jose Sotiullo took two of Greenville's three shots in the match and had his team's lone shot on goal, which came in the 25th minute of the contest.
Webster held a 5-3 edge in corner kicks and Greenville committed 15 fouls to Webster's eight.
Amick (1-0), who was seeing his first action of the season, played all 90 minutes and recorded one save. The shutout by Amick was his 16th of his career and the win was his 19th of his career, which is fourth on the school's all-time chart.
David Quijano (0-2) took the loss in goal for the Panthers as he allowed four goals and recorded one save.
The Gorloks will look to make four straight wins to open the season next Wednesday, March 17 as they travel to Louisville, Ky., for a 7:30 p.m. match at Spalding University.
