ST. LOUIS, Mo. – This evening the Webster University women's soccer team was back on the pitch when they played host to the Illinois College Lady Blues in a nonconference matchup. The Gorloks defeated Illinois College by a final score of 11-0 to improve to 4-1 on the season. With the loss, the Lady Blues fall to 1-5 on the year.
The Gorloks dominated the possession in this one as they recorded 41 shots in the game including 27 on target. They limited the Lady Blues to just five shots in the game including three on target. The Gorloks also controlled the corner count as they finished with eight corners in the game compared to just one from the Lady Blues.

Taryn Banfield was in goal tonight for the Gorloks as she recorded three saves in her first solo shutout of the season.
The Gorloks are back in action tomorrow, September 18
th when they play host to the Blackburn (Ill.) College Beavers in their first SLIAC game of the season. The game is set to kick-off at 1 p.m. at World Wide Technology Soccer Park.
