HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Webster University men's tennis team was back in action yesterday when they took on the Shepard (W.V.) University Rams in Hilton Head, South Carolina. The Gorloks were defeated in the match by a final score of 5-2 to fall to 3-5 on the season.
The Gorloks fell in two of their three doubles matches as
Andrew McDonald and
Aaron Demarco picked up a forfeit win in #3 doubles.
Riley Muren and
Matthew Birchmeier were defeated in #1 doubles by a final score of 8-0 while
Carson Fisher and
Tanner Haugen fell in #2 doubles by a final score of 8-4.
In the singles portion of the match,
Tanner Haugen was able to pick up a win in #4 singles as he defeated Hamilton Hall by final scores of 6-3 and 6-4.
Chase Boushard also won #6 singles by forfeit.
The Gorloks return to the court this afternoon when they take on St. Mary's College of Maryland in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
