ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Webster University softball team was back in action this afternoon when they played host to the Fontbonne (Mo.) University Griffins for a SLIAC matchup. The Gorloks fell to the Griffins by a final score of 2-0 to fall to 12-14 on the season and 8-5 in SLIAC play. With the win, the Griffins improve to 14-13 on the season and 11-2 in conference play.
Webster had a tough time getting anything going in this one as they were held to just four hits in the contest. The Griffins rallied for two runs in the top of the second and held off the Gorloks in their final six half innings to solidify the win.
Reese Waggoner (5-3) was the starting pitcher in this one as she allowed seven hits and two earned runs while striking out five in 7.0 innings.

Ashlee Seltzer,
Jaelin Holdaway, and
Kaelyn Kearney all recorded hits in the contest.
The Gorloks will be back in action on Friday, April 22
nd when they host Fontbonne (Mo.) University for the final game of the four game season series. First pitch is set for 5 p.m. at St. Joseph's Academy.
