GREENVILLE, Ill. – The Webster University men's soccer team was back in action this afternoon when they traveled to Greenville, Illinois, to take on the Greenville (Ill.) University Panthers for a SLIAC matchup. The Gorloks fell to the Panthers by a final score of 1-0 to drop to 5-8-3 on the season and 3-2-2 in conference play. With the win, Greenville improves to 7-6-4 on the season and 3-1-4 in the SLIAC.

The Gorloks were outshot 19-13 in the contest and put three shots on target compared to six from Greenville. Webster led in the corner count as they had four while Greenville had two.

Webster was on the attack in the first half of the match as they recorded nine of their 13 shots in the frame. They forced the Panthers keeper to make three saves in the period but were unable to capitalize as the game remained scoreless at the break.

Greenville picked it up to start the second half and were able to find the back of the net in 53^rd minute of the game to take a 1-0 lead in the contest. Webster did their best to equalize but were unable to put a shot on target in the half as the Panthers held them off to solidify the win.

Luke Dillon (5-8-3) was the starting keeper for Webster as he recorded five saves in the contest.

The Gorloks will return to the pitch on Tuesday, October 24^th when they host the Principia (Ill.) College Panthers for their final home game of the regular season. The game is set to kick-off at 7:30 p.m. at WWT Soccer Park.
