ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Webster University men's soccer team was back in action this afternoon when they played host to the Mississippi University for Women Owls for a SLIAC matchup. The Gorloks and the Owls grinded out a 0-0 draw after 90 minutes. With the tie, Webster moves to 3-6-2 on the season and 1-1-1 in conference play while the Owls move to 2-7-4 on the year and 1-2-2 in the SLIAC.

Carlos Llamas, and
Noah Abraham were all recognized.
The Gorloks outshot the Owls 21-3 in the game and put nine shots on target while MUW did not have any. Webster also led in the corner count as they had nine while the Owls finished with one.
The Gorloks came out in the first half and dominated the possession for most of the period. They applied heavy pressure to the Owls back line and forced the MUW keeper to make six saves in the period. However, they were unable to find the back of the net as the game remained scoreless at the break.
In the second half of the game, the Owls picked it up and were able to create several scoring chances in the period. The Gorloks settled in as the half progressed and forced the Owls keeper to make three saves in the frame. Despite the chances, neither side was able to score and the game finished in a draw.
Luke Dillon (4-7-1) was the starting keeper for Webster in this one as he recorded his second solo shutout of the year.
The Gorloks are back in action on Wednesday, October 11
th when they travel to Louisville, Kentucky, to take on the Spalding (Ky.) University Golden Eagles for a SLIAC matchup. The game is set to start at 5 p.m. EST.
