2024 Baseball Schedule Announced

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Webster University baseball team will open up their 2024 campaign on Saturday, February 27th when they travel to Millington, Tennessee, to take on the Transylvania (Ky.) University Pioneers for a nonconference doubleheader. The first game is set to start at 10 a.m. with the second game to follow.

The Gorloks will be back on the road the following weekend when they travel to Memphis, Tennessee, to compete in the Rhodes (Tenn.) College Tournament. Webster will take on North Central (Ill.) College, who finished the 2023 season ranked fourth in Region VIII, on Friday, February 23rd at 10:30 a.m. They will then take on Franklin (Ind.) College, a 2023 NCAA Tournament Qualifier, on Saturday, February 24th and Rhodes (Tenn.) College on Sunday, February 25th with all three games taking place on the campus of Rhodes (Tenn.) College.

The Gorloks will play their home opener on Friday, March 1st when they host the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh for their first game of the 2023 Webster Classic at GCS Credit Union Ballpark. UW-Oshkosh finished last season ranked fifth in Region IX. The team will wrap up the weekend with three more games including two against North Park (Ill.) University and one against UW-Oshkosh.

Webster will travel to Florida for their annual Spring Break trip from Friday, March 8th to Saturday, March 16th. The Gorloks will play seven teams that finished regionally ranked last year including four teams that finished ranked in the top 12 nationally. They will open their trip with a matchup against Marietta (Ohio) College who finished last year ranked 12th in the national rankings. They will then take on regionally ranked opponents in Kean (N.J.) University and Benedictine (Ill.) University before taking on Mitchell (Conn.) College who was receiving votes in last years final poll. The Gorloks will wrap up their trip with a matchup against Wheaton (Mass.) University, who ranked 11th in last year's final poll, 2023 National Runner-Up John Hopkins (Md.) University, and 2023 Division III College World Series Qualifier Endicott (Mass.) College.

The Gorloks will be back home for a matchup against crosstown rival Washington (Mo.) University on Wednesday, March 11th at 3 p.m. WashU finished last season ranked sixth in Region VIII.

Webster will open conference play on Saturday, March 23rd when they travel to Elsah, Illinois, to take on Principia (Ill.) College for a SLIAC doubleheader. The first game is set to start at 1 p.m. with the second game to follow.
The Gorloks will play five more nonconference games in the regular season including a home doubleheader against Rhodes (Tenn.) College on Tuesday, April 2nd. They will also take on Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (Ind.) on Tuesday, April 16th, Aurora (Ill.) University on Thursday, April 25th, and Franklin (Ind.) College on Tuesday, April 30th. Aurora finished last season ranked 10th in final poll.

The Gorloks will have the chance to avenge their 2023 SLIAC Tournament Final loss to Spalding (Ky.) University on Saturday, April 26th when they travel to Louisville, Kentucky, for a SLIAC doubleheader. The first game is set to start at 1 p.m. EST with the second game to follow.

Webster will wrap up their regular season on Saturday, May 4th when they host the Eureka (Ill.) College Red Devils for a SLIAC doubleheader starting at 11:30 a.m.

The SLIAC Baseball Tournament is set to take place from Tuesday, May 7th to Saturday, May 11th at Carshield Field in O'Fallon, Missouri.
