ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Webster University women's tennis team was back in action today when they played host to Westminster (Mo.) College and Kaskaskia (Ill.) College for a triple header. The Gorloks swept all three matches as they defeated Westminster by back-to-back scores of 9-0 and Kaskaskia by a final score of 8-1 to improve to 14-5 on the season.
In the first match of the day, the Gorloks started the match by sweeping doubles.
Erin Brezovar and
Bailey Higgins won #1 doubles over Chasity Eaton and Izabelle Smith by a final score of 8-0.
Chloe Daughtry and
Maddie Mena won #2 doubles as they defeated Natalie Benton and Vashanti Montague by a final score of 8-0.
Bailee Pineda and
Nadia Giacomini completed the sweep as they won #3 doubles by forfeit.
The Gorloks then went on to sweep singles as well.
Bailey Higgins won #1 singles over Izabelle Smith by a final score of 8-0.
Maddie Mena defeated Natalie Benton in #2 singles by a final score of 8-0.
Chloe Daughtry won #3 singles over Chasity Eaton by a final score of 8-0.
Nadia Giacomini won #4 singles after defeating Vashanti Montague by a final score of 8-0.
Bailee Pineda and
Emma Ferguson completed the sweep as they won by forfeit in #5 and #6 singles.
The Gorloks carried over their momentum into their second match against the Blue Jays and started off by sweeping doubles.
Chloe Daughtry and
Kylie Chitwood won #1 doubles as they defeated Izabelle Smith and Chasity Eaton by a final score of 8-0.
Bailee Pineda and
Nadia Giacomini won #2 doubles as they defeated Natalie Benton and Vashanti Montague by a final score of 8-0.
Maddie Mena and
Bailey Higgins completed the doubles sweep with a forfeit win in #3 doubles.
In the singles portion of the match,
Emma Ferguson got things going for Webster as she won #1 singles over Izabelle Smith by a final score of 8-1.
Bailee Pineda defeated Natalie Benton in #2 singles by a final score of 8-1.
Nadia Giacomini won #3 singles over Chasity Eaton by a final score of 8-0.
Chloe Daughtry won #4 singles over Vashanti Montague by a final score of 8-0.

In their third match of the day, Webster took two out of three in doubles.

Emma Ferguson and
Kylie Chitwood picked up the other point in doubles for Webster as they defeated Emma Walden and Jessilyn Hill by a final score of 8-0 in #2 doubles.
The Gorloks then went on to take all six singles matches to solidify their third win of the day.
Erin Brezovar won #1 singles over Madison Kreiner by final scores of 6-0 and 6-0.
Emma Ferguson won #2 singles against Jasmine Smith by final scores of 7-5 and 6-2.
Maddie Mena defeated Emma Walden in #3 singles by final scores of 7-6 (3) and 6-3.
Bailee Pineda won #4 singles over Jessilyn Hall by final scores of 6-2 and 6-0.
Chloe Daughtry won #5 singles over Carlie Barban by final scores of 2-6, 7-5, and 10-1. Lastly,
Nadia Giacomini won #6 singles over Kadee Milligan by final scores of 6-4 and 6-4.
The Gorloks will return to the court on Thursday, March 30
th when they host Lewis and Clark Community College for a nonconference matchup. The match will take place at 6:30 p.m. at Webster Groves Recreational Complex.
