ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Webster University softball team kicked off postseason play yesterday when they played host to the Blackburn (Ill.) College Beavers in the SLIAC Tournament Quarterfinals. The third seeded Gorloks defeated the sixth seeded Beavers by a final score of 4-2 to advance to the SLIAC Tournament Semifinals in Louisville, Kentucky.

They would go on to add a second run in the top of the fifth and held a 2-0 advantage late in the contest. The Gorloks had a tough time getting anything going through the first five innings but their bats came alive in the bottom of the sixth as they rallied for four runs in the frame to take their first lead of the game.
