ST. LOUIS, Mo - The Webster University men's soccer team continued non-conference play by hosting Harris-Stowe State University for Senior Night. The Gorloks battled the Hornets but dropped this contest by the final score of 0-1.

Prior to the match, the Gorloks coaching staff recognized five true seniors; Sriram Chidambaram, Luke Walsh, Chase Boushard, Jack Thompson, and Carson Lebegue for their hard work and dedication to the program for their duration at Webster.

In addition, the men's coaching staff recognized five fifth-year seniors that elected to back and use their final year of athletic eligibility which included Noah Abraham, Andy Mujezinovic, Amar Mujezinovic, Guillermo Soto, and Noah Thomas

All 10 seniors got the start at their respective positions as Bosco Gonzalez got his first collegiate start.

In the early minutes of play, the Gorloks battled on the defensive side of the pitch as Chidambaram collected his first save of the season. In the 20th minute, Thompson had a great opportunity to crack the scoreless match but his shot went wide. That shot by Thompson was the first shot of the match for the Gorloks.

In the 34th minute, the Hornets took the 1-0 advantage on a goal by Leo Mori. Immediately following the HSSU goal, the Gorloks orchestrated a fantastic offensive attack that resulted in two shots by Scott Price and Finn Rohl as both of their shots went just wide.

In the final minutes of the first half, the Gorloks earned two corner kicks but did not capitalize on either opportunity that kept the 1-0 deficit at the half.

WU's coaching staff made a goalkeeper change in the second half as Luke Dillon replaced Chidambaram. The Gorloks batted the Hornets between the end lines for the duration of the second half.

In the 59th minute, the reigning SLIAC Offensive Player of the Week in Talha Dizdarevic had a fantastic scoring opportunity on free kick just outside the 18-yard box but his shot went just high.
