ST. LOUIS, Mo. - In the past week of baseball games, WU's Evan Evola and R.J. LaRocco surpassed the 200th career hits milestone in a Gorlok uniform. Both student-athletes are the only two active players to have at least 560 career at-bats and 150 career starts.   

Evola, a senior from Ottawa, Illinois is a four-year starter for the Gorloks and currently has 150 career starts while playing multiple positions in the field. With the addition of all four seasons, he surpassed the 200th career milestone and currently has 204 career hits. Evola currently holds a career batting average of .359 that includes an average of 51 hits per season and 29 career home runs.

2025: 24 hits, 5 doubles, 2 home runs, 20 rbi's, and his currently averaging .329.
2024: 54 hits, 10 doubles, 7 home runs, 33 rbi's for a batting average of .335. 
2023: 65 hits, 17 doubles, 12 home runs, 44 rbi's for a batting average of .351.
2022: 61 hits, 15 doubles, 8 home runs, 49 rbi's for a batting average of .409.

LaRocco, a fifth-year from San Diego, California is a five-year starter for the Gorloks and currently has 173 starts primarily playing left field. With the addition of all five seasons, he eclipsed the 200th career milestone and currently has 202 career hits. LaRocco currently holds a career batting average of .317 that includes an average of 40.4 hits per season and 20 career home runs.
