Men’s Cross Country Picked To Finish Tied For Second In 2025 SLIAC Preseason Poll

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference has released their first preseason poll of the 2025-26 academic year which is the 2025 SLIAC Men's Cross Country poll. The Gorloks were picked to finish in a tie with Principia College for second place in the league with 55 points that includes three first-place votes.

The Gorloks return three runners from last year's squad led by two-time First Team All-Conference selection Ethan Nieroda as he enters his junior season as one of the team runners in the entire conference. Other key returners include juniors Johnny Imboden and Jacob Hawkins as both student-athletes give the Gorloks strong depth in the starting lineup.

Head Coach Kyle Robinson is excited to welcome five newcomers to the mix for the upcoming season which include all from high school ranks that include Dalton Bartlett (Kansas City, Mo), Gabe Feaman (Florissant, Mo), Brayden Halter (Bridgeton, Mo), Simon Muthemba (Maryland Heights, Mo), and Tyler Mooney (St. Louis, Mo). All five new additions will add significant depth to the lineup this season.

The Gorloks will open the 2025 season on August 29 hosting their first ever solo home meet in program history at Buder Park North in St. Louis. One week later, the team will travel to Owensboro, Kentucky on September 5 to compete in the Panther Prowl XC Classic at Yellow Creek Path course. Following a two week delay in meets, the Gorloks will travel north on Interstate 55 to Peoria, Illinois on September 19 and compete in the Bradley Intercollegiate meet at Detweiler Park.

Nearly three weeks later, the squad will compete in the Trojan Invitational hosted by Hannibal-LaGrange University on October 11 in Hannibal, Missouri. The Gorloks will close out the regular season with an in-state trip to the University of Missouri on October 18 to compete in the Pre-National Invitational at Gan's Creek in Columbia, Missouri.
This season, the Gorloks will serve as the host for the 2025 SLIAC Cross Country Championships on November 1 at Buder Park North in St. Louis, Missouri.
