Theodore's League-Leading Batting Average Earns SLIAC Baseball Hitter of the Week Honor

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) has released the names of the student-athletes who were named SLIAC Player of the Week for the competing spring sports. WU's James Theodore was named the SLIAC Baseball Hitter of the Week for the week of April 6th - 12th. 

Last week, the Gorloks earned five conference victories which was led by Theodore where he went 12-of-19 which included eight singles, three doubles, and a triple. In addition, he recorded four RBI's, 11 runs, and 17 total bases. He posted a .632 batting average, a .895 slugging percentage, and an on-base percentage of .682.


In game one against Blackburn, Theodore went 2-for-3 with 3 runs.


In game two against Blackburn, he went 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.


In game one against Eureka, he went 2-for-2 with 3 runs and 2 RBI's.


In game two against Eureka, he went 4-for-6 with 3 runs. 


In game three against Eureka, he went 1-for-4 with an RBI.


Theodore currently leads the SLIAC with a .485 batting average and 32 hits while ranking second with 26 runs.  

With this selection, it marks his first SLIAC Baseball Hitter of the Week selection of the season.
