Jessica Kozeny, a four-year standout goalie for the Webster University Women’s Soccer team, is entering her third season on the coaching staff. Kozeny, who played high school soccer at St. Joseph’s Academy, oversees the goal keeping coaching duties.
Kozeny was named the 2008 NCAA Division III goals against statistical champion with a 0.31 in 2008. She allowed just five total goals for the season in 1,473 minutes played. Jess set a school-record with 12 shutouts as the Gorloks posted 14 for the season. Her 22 shutouts are second on the Webster career list despite the Gorloks often employing a two-goalie system for games.
In addition to holding the season record for most minutes played in goal, Kozeny finished with a 0.59 career goals against average, third highest in school history. She was in the nets for 37 ‘solo’ and 25 ‘shared’ wins, for a career total of 62.
Kozeny was named first and second team All-Conference goalie for the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) in 2007 and 2008.
