Webster University men’s soccer team had a bittersweet day on Oct. 25.  The Gorloks became the fourth seed in the SLIAC tournament despite being defeated by Greenville College 7-3.  Maryville University, who had the opportunity to overtake the Gorloks with a win, lost to Blackburn College 4-3.  Webster finished the 2008 regular season at 5-7-3 with a conference record of 4-3-1.

Webster earned the last spot in the SLIAC tournament and will play Fontbonne University at Gay Field on Oct. 30 at 1 p.m.  The winner of this contest will take on the winner of the Greenville College vs. Principia College contest.  The SLIAC championship game will be held on Nov. 1.  Time and Location have not yet been determined.
