The Webster University volleyball team played in the Clarke College Tournament on Oct 24 and 25. In this tournament the Gorloks faced some stiff competition, going 1-3 in 4 matches. They played Loras College (1-3), Clarke College (0-3), Mt. Mercy College (3-2), and Ashford University (2-3). The Gorloks did have their highlights, including Junior Outside Hitter, Jackie Schall. Schall was named to the all-tournament team.
Webster will return home on Oct 28 to host Maryville University in the Dig Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Rally, at 7 p.m. Before, during and after the volleyball match there will be special events such as survivor recognition, 50/50 raffle, ribbon purchases, games and other activities. Dig Pink attendees will watch the girls compete on the court while contributing to breast health awareness by making a statement and wearing something pink in the stands. In addition, the players from both teams will be wearing pink. Admission is free.
