With one swing of the bat, Webster got all the offense it would need to earn a non-conference doubleheader split with UW-Oshkosh Sunday at Blackburn Park.

Dana Vahey's first-inning, two-out grand slam was all the offense for Webster in the second game of the Titan twinbill as the Gorloks posted the 4-3 victory. UWO, which received votes in the latest Division III Softball - The Newsletter Top 25 poll, scored a run in the top of the seventh inning to pull out the 4-3 victory in game one.

Megan Sperry opened the inning by reaching on an error. A single by junior

Kelsey Washam came before the homerun on a 1-2 count. The blast helped WU quickly overcome a 2-0 deficit.
Sperry (2-1) handled the rest of the work for the Gorloks. After yielding the two first-inning runs, the junior allowed just three more hits and one runner to reach second. She allowed two runs on six hits with one strikeout over seven innings.
Webster fell down 3-0 early, but managed to get itself back into game one. Junior Tara Camezind scored the first Gorlok run with a single in the third. The hit scored Washam, who drew an one-out walk and moved to third on Vahey's double.
Two runs in the fifth on a single by Vahey and a flyout by Camezind pulled WU even. But, a one-out double in the top of the seventh scored the eventual winning run for UW-Oshkosh. The inning started with a hit batter and a sacrifice bunt, setting up the winning hit.
Vahey had three hits to lead the Gorloks. Senior
Gina Trapani (1-3) took the loss, allowing four earned runs on seven hits in seven innings of work.
