Webster University head men's and women's tennis coach, Mike Siener, has added another coaching job to his long resume for the Gorloks, starting this fall he will be the Associate Head Men's Soccer coach as well. While assuming this duty, he will leave the men's basketball program, where he has served Chris Bunch as an assistant for the past 10 years.
In addition to helping with the on-field coaching, Siener will take over a lot of the administrative duties for the soccer program, such as recruiting, scheduling, and setting up travel for the team. As a soccer player for the Gorloks, Siener was a two-time St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference All-Conference player and helped lead Webster University to its first ever NCAA tournament appeareance in 1999. Webster finished that year with a team record of 16-2-1 that season.
"I am very appreciative of Tom Hart and Marty Todt for giving me this great opportunity to assist the men's soccer team. Siener said. “I am looking forward to helping the coaching staff in all areas and helping us continue the long winning tradition that we have had here at Webster University."
Siener recently completed his sixth season as the Webster University men's and women's tennis coach, in addition to serving as an assistant for men's basketball. With basketball, Siener also coordinated the recruiting and travel, in addition to on-floor coaching.
