The Gorlok offense was absent again as the Webster University softball team lost a doubleheader to Illinois Wesleyan University, 9-0 & 13-0, on March 24, at Blackburn Park.  Webster was only able to muster two hits on the afternoon, one in each contest.

Taylor Gibbs (FR, Alton HS, IL) broke up the Titans bid for a perfect game with a two-out single in the fifth inning of game one.  Tabatha Bahre (SR, Lutheran South HS) had the lone tally for the Gorloks in the nightcap. 

Trisha Thompson (SO, Xavier Prep HS, AZ) took the loss in the opener, and Ashley Meagher (JR, Dupo HS, IL) took the loss in game two.  While both pitchers did not have their best outings, the Gorlok defense had a hand in the Titans 22-run output, with several miscues in each game contributing to Wesleyan rallies.

Webster fell to 4-14 on the season and opens the St., Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference season on March 29, with a pair of games vs. Westminster College at Blackburn Park.
