In Saturday's match, the Gorloks held a 19-11 edge in shots and a 9-6 advantage in shots on goal against the Golden Eagles and after scoring its lone goal in the 17th minute, Webster turned to its defense and freshman goalkeeper Taryn Banfield (Plano, Texas/Plano East) as Banfield faced four shots after halftime and saved each of those shot to preserve its fourth consecutive shutout and sixth overall shutout this season.

The Gorloks scored the lone game of Saturday's match in the 17th minute as senior forward Melissa Kasper (Oswego, Ill./Oswego) took a pass from senior midfielder Savannah Page (Sandy, Utah/Jordan) and connected from five yards out. In addition, the goal gave Kasper 135 career points and pushed her to fourth on the school's all-time list as she passed Mary Jo Clark on the all-time points chart on Saturday. Clark recorded 134 points for the Gorloks from 1999-02.

In the first half, the Gorloks put a lot of pressure on Spalding goalkeeper Kayla Strehle as the Gorloks took 11 of their 19 shots in the first half and put five of those 11 shots on goal. Strehle would save four of those five shots on goal in the opening half.

Kasper finished the match with six shots and four shots on goal, while Page added four shots and two shots on goal and sophomore forward Jordan Lande (Sachse, Texas/Sachse) had three shots in the win. For the match, seven Gorloks took at least one shot.
