WEBSTER GROVES – Webster University Athletics has begun unveiling its All-Decade Teams from the 2010s as it compiles the best student-athletes across the past 10 seasons (2010-19) in each of Webster's intercollegiate athletic teams. Our 10th team to be unveiled is the 2010-19 All-Decade Women's Indoor Track and Field Team.
During the past decade, Webster had numerous individual standouts during the decade across the 16 indoor events and the program established itself as one of the top indoor track and field programs in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, which officially added indoor track as a championship sport during the 2019-20 school year.
Despite not having an official SLIAC Championship in indoor track during the decade, the Gorloks still competed in an SLIAC Indoor Invitational that began in 2017 and they finished second at the SLIAC Invitational in 2017 and took home first place honors in both 2018 and 2019 and then took home the team title at the inaugural SLIAC Indoor Track Championships in 2020.
Along with becoming one of the top indoor track and field programs in the SLIAC, the Gorloks also made history as their first ever female track athlete –
Daisha Reece – to the NCAA Division III National Championships in 2020 as she qualified in the long jump, but was unable to compete in the championships after the NCAA canceled the event due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition to the team success in the decade, the 36 members of the All-Decade Team earned a combined 11 SLIAC Invitational championships and a combined four SLIAC Invitational runner-up finishes. Additionally, the All-Decade Team members set a combined 16 school records.
Listed below are the 36 members (Top two at each event and the top relay teams) of the Webster Athletics Indoor Track Team of the Decade for the 2010s. The student-athletes on the All-Decade team, who were selected by Webster head coach Nick Neihaus and assistant coach
