2010s All-Decade Teams: Women's Outdoor Track & Field

Over the next several weeks, Webster University Athletics Department will be releasing its All-Decade Teams of the 2010s. For a full schedule of the teams set to be released, click here.
 
WEBSTER GROVES – Webster University Athletics has begun unveiling its All-Decade Teams from the 2010s as it compiles the best student-athletes across the past 10 seasons (2010-19) in each of Webster's intercollegiate athletic teams. Our 14th team to be unveiled is the 2010-19 All-Decade Women's Outdoor Track and Field Team.
 
During the past decade, Webster earned back-to-back St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference titles in outdoor track the final two years of the decade in 2018 and 2019. Along with winning two consecutive league titles to close the decade, the Gorloks were also runners-up in 2017 in the inaugural SLIAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
 
Prior to the SLIAC sponsoring a championship meet in outdoor track in 2017, the league held a SLIAC Invitational that began in 2010 and ran to 2016 and over those seven years, Webster took home the championship in 2015 and were the runners-up in 2010, 2011 and 2016.
 
In addition to the team success in the decade, the 44 members of the All-Decade Outdoor Track Team won a combined 41 individual SLIAC titles, including 20 SLIAC titles the final three years of the decade and the All-Decade Team members earned a combined 73 All-SLIAC honors, including five athletes earning six or more All-SLIAC honors. Additionally, the All-Decade Team members set a combined 20 school records.
 
Four athletes on the All-Decade Team earned SLIAC Athlete or Newcomer of the Year honors as Meghan Illig in 2018 and Meredith Sowers in 2019 were named the SLIAC Female Track Athletes of the Year, while Johnae' Hightower earned the SLIAC Field Newcomer of the Year in 2018 and Sowers took home the SLIAC Track Newcomer of the Year in 2017.
 
Along with the combined 44 individual SLIAC titles, the combined 73 All-SLIAC honors and a combined 20 school records, the All-Decade Team members earned a combined 22 SLIAC and/or Field Athlete of the Week honors and they also earned a combined 16 SLIAC Spring All-Academic Team accolades.
 
Sixteen members of the 2010s All-Decade Women's Indoor Track Team were also named to the 2010s All-Decade Women's Outdoor Track Team.
 
Listed below are the 44 members (Top two at each event and the top relay team) of the Webster Athletics Outdoor Women's Track Team of the Decade for the 2010s. The student-athletes on the All-Decade team, who were selected by Webster head coach Nick Neihaus and assistant coach Dan Graber, are ranked in order by event.
 
100-Meter Dash
Jenny Howard (Florissant, Mo. – 2012-15)
Howard is perhaps one of the female student-athletes in school history as she was a two-sport star during her four-year career as a Gorlok. Along with competing in track and field, Howard was also a four-year letterwinner in volleyball and was named to Webster's 2010s All-Decade Volleyball and Women's Indoor Track and Field Team. Additionally, she was the NCAA Woman of the Year nominee in 2014-15, a SLIAC Postgraduate Scholarship Award winner in 2014-15 and was also tabbed the Webster Athletics' Female Student-Athlete of the Year in 2014-15. She was also a three-time selection to the SLIAC Spring All-Academic Team. As a track athlete, she currently holds the school record in the 100-meter dash of 12.25, which was set at the North Central College Dr. Keeler Invitational in 2013. That time ranked in the Top 40 nationally in 2013. In addition, she also won both the 100 and 200-meter dashes at the 2013 SLIAC Invitational and finished as runner-up in the 100-meter dash as a senior in 2015. Howard also earned six SLIAC Track Athlete of the Week honors as she was honored twice in 2012, 2013 and 2014.
 
Taylor Porter (St. Louis, Mo. – 2015)
In her only season as a Gorlok in 2015, Porter was the SLIAC Invitational champion in the 100-meter dash in 2015 as she recorded a career-best time of 12.64, which is second on the school's all-time list. At that same meet, she was also a double champion as she took home first place honors in the long jump with a leap of 16'1.75" (4.92 meters), which at the time as the second longest jump in school history. During the 2015 season, she was also a SLIAC Track Athlete of the Week. She had four Top 5 finishes in the 100-meter dash during the 2015 season. Additionally, she also competed in 200-meter dash during the 2015 season and holds the school's second fastest time in the event as she ran a 25.73 at the SLU Billiken Invitational and she placed third in the event at the 2015 SLIAC Invitational.
 
200-Meter Dash
Jenny Howard (Florissant, Mo. – 2012-15)
Along with earning All-Decade honors in the 100-meters in outdoor track, Howard also earns a spot in the 200 meters on the All-Decade Team after setting a school record in the event of 25.10 at the SLU Billiken Invitational in 2014. That time of 25.10 was ranked in the Top 40 nationally in Division III in 2014. Along with holding the school record in the 200-meter dash, she took home first place in the 200 meters at the 2013 SLIAC Invitational as she recorded a time of 25.95, which at the time was a school record. At the 2015 SLIAC Invitational, she was second in the 100-meter dash (12.69), eighth in the 200-meter dash (27.77) and was a member of Webster's 4-x-100 meter relay team that finished second with a time of 49.66, which is second-best in school history.
 
Donalda Desir (Naples, Fla. – 2015-18)
Desir lettered four years in outdoor track for the Gorloks from 2015-18 and she earns her shot on the All-Decade Team in the 200-meter dash after being an SLIAC champion in the event in 2018 and earning All-SLIAC honors in that event in both 2017 and 2018 as along with placing first in the event in 2018, she was third in 2017. Recorded the third fastest 200-meter dash time in school history in 2018 as she ran a time of 26.17 at the NCC Gregory NCAA Qualifier. Along with being a two-time All-SLIAC selection in the 200-meter dash, she was also an All-SLIAC selection in 2018 in the 100-meter dash, 400-meter dash and the 4-x-100 and 4-x-400 meter relays and won a SLIAC title in 2018 in the 400-meter dash and both the 4-x-100 and 4-x-400 meter relays. In 2017, she also earned All-SLIAC honors in the 400-meter dash and 4-x-100 and 4-x-400 meter relays. Desir was also a Track Athlete of the Week in 2018.
 
400-Meter Dash
Donalda Desir (Naples, Fla. – 2015-18)
Along with being a member of the All-Decade Team in the 200-meter dash, she also earns a spot on the All-Decade Team in the 400-meter dash. In the 400-meter dash, she holds the school record as she recorded the school record time of 59.81 in 2016 at the Missouri S&T Dewey Allgood Invitational. Additionally, she was the SLIAC champion in the 400-meter dash in 2018 after running a time of 1:00.02 and earned All-SLIAC in the 400 meters in both 2017 and 2018 after placing third in the event at the 2017 SLIAC Championships. Is one of two Gorlok women's track athletes to run under a minute in the 400-meter dash in the program's history.
 
Meghan Illig (St. Louis, Mo. – 2015-18)
In her four years as a Gorlok, Illig was a nine-time All-SLIAC selection and a nine-time SLIAC champion in three different events as she earned SLIAC titles in the 100-meter hurdles (4 times), 400-meter hurdles (3 times) and 4-x-400-meter relay (2 times). She holds the second fastest time in the 400-meter dash in school history as she tallied a time of 59.86 en route to finishing fifth at the 2017 SLIAC Championships. In addition, Illig was the runner-up in the 400-meter dash at the 2018 SLIAC Championships as she posted a time of 1:00.40. During her time, she earned two All-SLIAC honors in the 400-meter dash and was also an All-SLIAC selection in the 200-meter dash in 2018, the 100-meter and 400-meter hurdles in both 2017 and 2018 and a two-time All-SLIAC honoree in the 4-x-400 meter relay in both 2017 and 2018. Was a three-time member of the SLIAC Spring All-Academic Team and was named the SLIAC Track Athlete of the Year in 2018. Additionally, she was a five-time SLIAC Athlete of the Week as she took home single accolades in 2018, 2016 and 2015 and two accolades in 2017. Illig, who was also named to both the 2010s All-Decade Women's Cross Country and Women's Indoor Track and Field Teams, was selected as a CoSIDA Google Cloud Academic All-District selection in 2017-18, was an NCAA Woman of the Year nominee in 2017-18, the Webster Athletics Scholar Athlete Award winner in 2017-18 and earned a USTFCCCA All-Academic selection in 2018. Won six overall gold medals in her collegiate career and nine overall medals and those two marks are tied for second-most in league history.
 
800-Meter Dash
Meredith Sowers (Rolla, Mo. – 2017-20)
Much like Howard at the beginning of the decade, Sowers closed out the decade as perhaps one of the top athletes in school history. In outdoor track, Sowers was a 14-time All-SLIAC selection and a 10-time SLIAC champion in five different events as she won SLIAC titles in the 800-meter dash (2018, 2019), pole vault (2018, 2019), 4-x-400 meter relay (2019, 2018, 2017), 100-meter hurdles (2019), 400-meter hurdles (2019) and the 4-x-100 meter relay (2019). In 2019, she took home an SLIAC record six gold medals as she won league titles in the 800 meters, 100-meter hurdles, 400-meter hurdles, pole vault, 4-x-100 and 4-x-400 meter relays. In addition, she also won a league record 15 individual overall medals and also a league-best 10 overall gold medals. Took home SLIAC Track Athlete of the Year honors in 2018 and was the SLIAC Track Newcomer of the Year in 2017. Sowers, who was also named to the 2010s All-Decade Team in both cross country and indoor track, was the NCAA Woman of the Year nominee this year and was also named the recipient of the 2019-20 Webster Athletics Chancellors Award. Additionally, she took home three SLIAC Athlete of the Week honors as she was selected in 2017, 2018 and 2019. Recorded 11 Top 10 finishes in the 800-meter dash in her collegiate career. She has the second fastest time in the 800-meters in school history as she ran a time of 2:16.17 at the Greenville University Select Meet in 2019.   
 
Minnell Fundora (Miami, Fla. – 2018-present)
One of three current Gorloks to earn a spot on the Outdoor Track All-Decade Team, Fundora has lettered the past three years and has been a six-time All-SLIAC selection and a four-time SLIAC champion in two different events – 1,500-meter run and the 4-x-400 meter relay. Holds the school record in the 800-meter dash as she recorded a time of 2:15.10 at the NCC Gregory NCAA Qualifier in 2019. Along with holding the school record in the 800-meter run, Fundora was the runner-up in the 800 meters at both the SLIAC Outdoor Championships in 2018 and 2019. Earned All-SLIAC honors in the 800 meters in both 2018 and 2019 and was also an All-SLIAC selection in 2018 and 2018 in both the 1,500-meter run and the 4-x-400 meter relays. Was a SLIAC Track Athlete of the Week in 2019. Has recorded eight career Top 10 finishes in the 800-meter run. Fundora was also named to both the 2010s All-Decade Teams in cross country and indoor track and field.
 
1,500-Meter Run
Minnell Fundora (Miami, Fla. – 2018-present)
Along with being a member of the Outdoor Track All-Decade Team in the 800-meter run, Fundora is also earns a spot on the All-Decade Outdoor Track Team in the 1,500-meter run. She has a been a two-time SLIAC champion in the 1,500-meter run as she won first place honors in both 2018 and 2019. Along with being a two-time league champion in the 1,500-meter run, Fundora holds the school record in the 1,500 meters as she recorded a time of 4:42.82 at the NCC Gregory Final Qualifier in 2019. In addition to holding the school record in the 1,500-meter run, she also holds the school record in the 800-meter run. In her career, she has had seven career Top 10 finishes in the 1,500-meter run and was named to the 2010s All-Decade Team in both cross country and indoor track and field.

Valerie Martin (St. Louis, Mo. – 2014-15, '17)
Martin competed for three years in track and field at Webster and those three years, she was a two-time SLIAC Invitational champion in both the 1,500-meter run and 5,000-meter run in 2015. In addition, she earned All-SLIAC honors as senior in 2017 in the 3,000-meter Steeplechase. Holds the second fastest time in the 1,500-meter run in school history as she ran a time of 4:52.20 at the SLU Billiken Invitational in 2015. Martin is also a member of the 2010s All-Decade Team in both cross country and indoor track and field. Additionally, she was a two-time selection to the SLIAC Spring All-Academic Team in both 2015 and 2017.
 
5,000-Meter Run
Valerie Martin (St. Louis, Mo. – 2014-15, '17)
Along with being named to the Outdoor Track All-Decade Team in the 1,500-meter run, Martin was also named to the Outdoor Track All-Decade Team in the 5,000-meter run. She was the SLIAC Invitational champion in the 5,000-meter run in 2015 and also holds the school's top mark in the event as she tallied a time of 18:38.93 at the NCAA Gregory Final Qualifier in 2015. Martin is one of two Gorloks to run under 19 minutes in the 5,000-meter run in school history.
 
Holly Goergen (Phoenix, Ariz. – 2015-18)
Goergen was a four-time letterwinner for the Gorloks and earns her spot on the All-Decade Outdoor Track Team in the 5,000-meter run after finishing as runner-up in the event at the 2017 SLIAC Championships. Along with being the runner-up in the 5,000-meter run in 2017, she also holds the second fastest time in the event in school history as she posted a time of 18:47.15 at the WashU Invitational in 2018. In addition, she was an All-SLIAC selection in the 10,000-meter run in both 2018 and 2017. Goergen was another Gorlok on the All-Decade Outdoor Track Team that was also named to both the 2010s All-Decade cross country and indoor track and field.
 
10,000-Meter Run
Holly Goergen (Phoenix, Ariz. – 2015-18)
Along with being selected to the SLIAC All-Decade Outdoor Track Team in the 5,000-meter run, Goergen earns a spot on the All-Decade Outdoor Track Team in the 10,000-meter run. She earns her spot in the 10,000-meter run after being a two-time All-SLIAC selection in the event and holds the school record in the event with a time of 40:25.89 at the Rhodes Invitational in 2018. Was the runner-up in the 10,000-meter run at the SLIAC Championships in both 2018 and 2017. Along with her two runner-up finishes in the 10,000-meter run in 2017 and 2018, she was third in the event at the 2016 SLIAC Invitational.
 
Heather Heisse (Troy, Mo. – 2011-14)
Heisse was a four-year letterwinner for the Gorloks and in those four years, she was the SLIAC Invitational champion in the 10,000-meter in 2014. Along with being the champion in the 10,000-meter run in 2014, she has the second fastest time in school history in the event as she posted a time of 41:04.35 at the WashU Invitational in 2014. In addition, she was a SLIAC Track Athlete of the Week in 2014.
 
100-Meter Hurdles
Meghan Illig (St. Louis, Mo. – 2015-18)
Illig earns her second spot on the All-Decade Outdoor Track Team at the 100-meter hurdles after being a four-time league champ in the event as she won SLIAC Invitational titles in 2015 and 2016 and then took home gold medals at the SLIAC Outdoor Championships in 2017 and 2018. Along with winning four league titles in the 100-meter hurdles, she also holds the school record in the event after recording a time of 15.33 at the NCC Gregory Qualifier in 2017.
 
Meredith Sowers (Rolla, Mo. – 2017-20)
Sowers earns her second spot on the All-Decade Outdoor Track Team at the 100-meter hurdles after taking home the SLIAC championship in the event in 2019 after recording a time of 16.00. Along with winning the SLIAC title in 2019, she was the runner-up in the event in both 2017 and 2018. In addition, she has the second fastest time in the event in school history as she recorded a time of 15.88 at the Greenville University Select Meet in 2019. In her career, she had eight Top 10 finishes in the 100-meter hurdles.
 
400-Meter Hurdles
Meghan Illig (St. Louis, Mo. – 2015-18)
Along with being on All-Decade Outdoor Track Team at both the 400-meter run and 100-meter hurdles, Illig also earns a spot on the All-Decade Team at the 400-meters hurdles. She earns her spot at the 400-meter hurdles after taking home three SLIAC titles in four years in the event as she won the event at the 2016 SLIAC Invitational and then won the event at both the 2017 and 2018 SLIAC Outdoor Championships. Along with winning three league titles in the 400-meter hurdles, Illig also holds the school record in the 400-meter hurdles as she recorded a time of 1:02.52 at the Missouri S&T Dewey Allgood Invitational in 2018. That time was ranked in the Top 30 in Division III and Illig just missed qualifying for a spot in the 2018 NCAA Outdoor Track Championships.
 
Meredith Sowers (Rolla, Mo. – 2015-18)
Much like Illig, Sowers earns her third spot on the All-Decade Outdoor Track Team as she was tabbed to the 800-meter run and the 100-meter hurdles and earns her spot in the 400-meter hurdles after recording the second fastest time (1:03.59) in the event in school history at the NCC Gregory Qualifier in 2019. Along with having the second best time in the event in school history, Sowers was also the SLIAC champion in the event in 2019. Her time of 1:03.59 in 2019 was ranked in the Top 35 nationally in Division III.
 
3,000-Meter Steeplechase
Valerie Martin (St. Louis, Mo. – 2014-15, '17)
Martin earns her third spot on the All-Decade Outdoor Track Team as along with being named to the team at the 1,500-meter run and 5,000-meter runs, she also earns a spot at the 3,000-meter Steeplechase. She earns the spot at the 3,000-meter Steeplechase after taking home the SLIAC title in the event at the 2017 SLIAC Outdoor Championships. Along with earning an SLIAC title in the Steeplechase, Martin holds the school record in the event as she recorded a time of 12:24.34 at the Missouri S&T Dewey Allgood Invitational in 2017. She is one of two Gorloks in school history to run under 13 minutes in the 3,000-meter Steeplechase.
 
Lauren Coleman (St. Peters, Mo. – 2018)
Coleman earns her spot on the All-Decade Outdoor Track Team at the 3,000-meter Steeplechase after holding the second fastest time of 12.41.45 in the event, which was recorded at the Greenville Select Meet in 2018. Along with holding the second fastest time in the event, Coleman, who was also named to the All-Decade Women's Cross Country Team, placed fourth in the event at the 2018 SLIAC Outdoor Championships.
 
4-x-100 Meter Relay
Brittney Griffin (St. Louis, Mo. – 2017-2020)
Daisha Reece (Norman, Okla. – 2019-present)
Vanessa Jones (Orlando, Fla. – 2018-present)
Jakara Brooks (Sanford, Fla. – 2017-20)
That foursome earns the 4-x-100 meter relay spot on the All-Decade Women's Outdoor Team after setting a school record of 49.58 at the Missouri S&T Dewey Allgood Invitational in 2019. That time bettered the old school mark of 49.66 set in 2015.
 
4-x-400 Meter Relay
Meredith Sowers (Rolla, Mo. – 2017-20)

Meghan Illig (St. Louis, Mo. – 2015-18)
That foursome earns the 4-x-400 meter relay spot on the All-Decade Women's Outdoor Team after setting both a school record and taking home the SLIAC title in the event during the 2018 season. The foursome ran a school record time of 4:02.62 at the Missouri S&T Dewey Allgood Invitational and took home first place at the SLIAC Outdoor Championships as they ran a time of 4:05.51, which at the time was the second fastest time in school history.
 
High Jump
Colleen Coday (Harrisonville, Mo. – 2016-19)
Coday was a four-year letterwinner for the Gorloks as she was a two-time runner-up in the high jump in the SLIAC and earned All-SLIAC honors in the high jump in 2017. In addition, she also holds the school record in the high jump as she recorded a mark of 5'0.25" (1.53 meters) at both the Millikin Big Blue Invitational and the Missouri S&T Dewey Allgood Invitational in 2017. Additionally, she was the runner-up in the high jump at the 2016 SLIAC Invitational and was also the runner-up in the high jump at the 2017 SLIAC Outdoor Championships. Coday was also named to the All-Decade Women's Indoor Team in the high jump.  
Daisha Reece (Norman, Okla. – 2019-present)
Reece, who was also named to the All-Decade Women's Indoor Track Team, has lettered the past two seasons for the Gorloks and in that time, she has been a four-time All-SLIAC selection and earned league titles in both the long jump and 4-x-100 meter relay. In 2019, she earned All-SLIAC honors in the 100-meter run, high jump, 4-x-100 meter relay and the long jump. At the 2019 SLIAC Outdoor Championships, Reece placed third in the high jump with a leap of 4'9.75" (1.47 meters), which is the second highest mark in school history.
 
Pole Vault
Meredith Sowers (Rolla, Mo. – 2017-20)
Sowers earns her fifth spot on the All-Decade Women's Outdoor Track Team as she is named to the pole vault after being an SLIAC champion and a three-time SLIAC selection in the event. She set the school's all-time record in the pole vault at the 2019 Missouri S&T Dewey Allgood Invitational as she recorded a mark of 10'3.25" (3.13 meters. In addition to holding the school record in the pole vault, she was the runner-up in the event at both the 2017 and 2018 SLIAC Outdoor Championships and won the event at the SLIAC Outdoor Championships in 2019. Sowers, who was also named to the All-Decade Teams in both cross country and indoor track, is the only Gorlok to record a vault of over nine feet. In her career, she recorded 10 Top 10 finishes in the pole vault.
 
Vanessa Jones (Orlando, Fla. – 2018-present)
Jones is one of three current Gorloks that have earned a spot on the All-Decade Outdoor Team as she has lettered for three years. In those three, she earned All-SLIAC honors in the pole vault in 2019 after placing third in the event at the SLIAC Championships. At the SLIAC Championships, she recorded a mark of 6'11.75" (2.13 meters). In addition, she owns the second-best pole vault mark in school history with her 7'6.50" (2.30 meters) at the Rhodes Invitational in 2019.
 
Long Jump
Daisha Reece (Norman, Okla. – 2019-present)
Reece earns her third spot on the All-Decade Outdoor Track Team as she is named to the long jump after being the SLIAC champion in the event at the 2019 SLIAC Championships. Along with winning the SLIAC title in the long jump at the SLIAC Championship in 2019, Reece also earned All-SLIAC honors in the long jump, along with earning All-SLIAC honors in the 100-meter run, 4-x-100 meter relay and high jump. In addition, she holds the school record in the long jump as she recorded a leap of 18'2.50" (5.55 meters) at the NCC Gregory Qualifier in 2019. During the 2019 outdoor season, she finished in the Top 3 in the long jump six times in seven meets.
 
Jakara Brooks (Sanford, Fla. – 2017-20)
During her four years at Webster, Brooks was a nine-time All-SLIAC selection and a three-time SLIAC champion in three different events. She earns her spot on the All-Decade Outdoor Track Team at the long jump after being the SLIAC champion in the event in 2017 and finishing as runner-up at the SLIAC Championships in 2019. In addition, she has two All-SLIAC honors in the long jump in 2017 and 2019. Brooks, who was also named the All-Decade Women's Indoor Track Team, has the third best long jump mark in school history as she tallied a leap of 17'8.75" (5.40 meters) at the Missouri S&T Dewey Allgood Invitational in 2019. Additionally, she earned All-SLIAC honors in the 100-meter dash (2017, 2018 and 2019), 200-meter dash (2017 and 2019) and 4-x-100 meter relay (2017 and 2019) and was also the league champion in the 200-meter dash and 4-x-100 meter relay in 2019. Brooks also earned a SLIAC Track Athlete of the Week accolade in 2017.
 
Triple Jump
Johnae' Hightower (Lee's Summit, Mo. – 2017-18)
Despite only competing two years at Webster, Hightower made a mark in the triple jump as she was a two-time SLIAC champion in the event and holds the school record in the event. She opened her collegiate career by winning three league titles in 2018 as she took home first place honors in the long jump, triple jump and the 4-x-100 meter relay and those three SLIAC titles helped her earn the SLIAC Field Newcomer of the Year in 2018. In 2019, she repeated as the SLIAC champion in the triple jump and earned All-SLIAC honors in both the triple jump and long jump. Additionally, she set the school record in the triple jump at the 2018 SLIAC Championships with a leap of 34'6.75" (10.53 meters). Hightower, who was also named to the All-Decade Women's Indoor Track Team, also has the second best leap in the long jump in school history as she recorded a leap of 17'10.25" (5.44 meters) at the Missouri S&T Dewey Allgood Invitational in 2018.
 
Anna Grobelny (Fenton, Mo. – 2016-17, '19)
Grobelny, who was also named to the triple jump on the All-Decade Indoor Track Team, earns her spot in the triple jump on the All-Decade Outdoor Team after earning All-SLIAC honors in the event in 2017. Along with earning All-SLIAC honors in 2017, she finished as the runner-up in the triple jump at the 2016 SLIAC Invitational and then finishing as runner-up in 2017 SLIAC Outdoor Championships and placing fourth in the event at the 2019 SLIAC Championships. She recorded the second best mark in the triple jump in 2016 with her leap of 34'5.75" (10.51 meters) at the Illinois College True Blue Twilight Invitational. Additionally, Grobelny was a CoSIDA Academic All-American and a CoSIDA Academic All-District selection in 2019 and was a two-time member of the SLIAC Spring Academic Honor Roll. Grobelny also earned the Webster Athletics Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2018-19.  
 
Shot Put
Miranda Green (Joplin, Mo. – 2017-20)
Green was a four-year letterwinner for the Gorloks and earns her spot on the All-Decade Outdoor Track Team at the shot put after earning All-SLIAC honors in the event in both 2018 and 2019. Along with earning two All-SLIAC selections, she placed third in the shot put at the SLIAC Championships in both 2018 and 2019 and placed fourth in the in event at the 2017 SLIAC Championships. She also holds the school record in the shot put as she recorded a toss of 39'1" (11.91 meters) at the Missouri S&T Dewey Allgood Invitational in 2018. Additionally, she earned SLIAC All-Academic Team honors in 2019.
 
Lauren McClain (Barnhart, Mo. – 2014-16)
In her three years as a Gorlok, McClain, who was also named to the All-Decade Women's Indoor Track Team, earns a spot in the shot put on the All-Decade Outdoor Track Team after two Top 4 finishes in the shot put in both 2014 and 2015 at the SLIAC Invitational. In 2014, she placed third at the 2014 SLIAC Invitational and then was runner-up at the 2015 SLIAC Invitational. In addition to her two Top 4 finishes at the SLIAC Invitational, McClain recorded the second best mark in the shot put in school record as she tallied a toss of 38'7" (11.76 meters) at the Rhodes Invitational in 2014. 
 
Discus
Zoe Burton (Chesterfield, Mo. – 2016-17)
Burton lettered for two years for the Gorloks and in those two years, she is the school's record holder in the discus. Her school record toss of 116'9.50" (35.60 meters) was set at the Culver Stockton Invitational in 2017. Along with holding the school record in the discus, she placed third in the event at the 2016 SLIAC Invitational and was sixth in the event at the 2017 SLIAC Championships. Burton also holds the fifth best toss in school history in the shot put.
 
Abbie Stolzer (Sainte Genevieve, Mo. – 2017-19)
In the final three years of the decade, Stolzer earns a spot on the All-Decade Outdoor Team in the discus after holding the No. 3 mark in school history and placing fourth in the event at the 2019 SLIAC Outdoor Championships. Her toss of 108'5" (33.06 meters) at the 2019 SLIAC Championships is third best in school history. Additionally, she was a two-time SLIAC Spring All-Academic Team selection in 2018 and 2019 and was a SLIAC Field Athlete of the Week in 2018.
 
Hammer Throw
Bailey Badger (Richland, Mo. – 2016-19)
Badger is a four year letterwinner for the Gorloks and in those four years, she holds the school record in the hammer throw and was a runner-up in the event at the 2016 SLIAC Invitational. She set her school record mark in the hammer throw during the 2019 season as she recorded a toss of 138'8" (42.38 meters) at the Missouri S&T Dewey Allgood Invitational. Along with holding the school record in the hammer throw, she placed second in the event at the SLIAC Invitational in 2016 and was fourth in the event at the SLIAC Championships in 2017. In addition to earning a spot on the All-Decade Outdoor Track Team, Badger, who is the only Gorlok to toss the hammer throw over 130 feet in school history, was also named to the All-Decade Indoor Track Team.
 
Rachael Young (Lebanon, Mo. – 2015)
In her only season as a Gorlok in 2015, Young earns her All-Decade Team spot after recording the No. 2 toss in the hammer throw in school history. Her second best mark in school history in the hammer throw came at the 2015 SLIAC Invitational as she recorded a toss of 125'7" (38.28 meters) to earn a third place finish in the event. During the 2015 season, she recorded five Top 10 finishes in the hammer throw.
 
Javelin
Gretchen Rieger (Trenton, Ill. – 2011-12)
Early in the decade, Rieger set the standard for the javelin as in her two seasons as a Gorlok, she set a school record that still stands after seven years. Rieger recorded her school record javelin in her first career meet as a Gorlok in 2011 as she tallied a toss of 127'9" (38.94 meters) at the Rose-Hulman Early Bird Invitational. Along with holding the school record in the javelin, she was the SLIAC Invitational champion in the javelin in 2012 and finished third in the event at the 2011 SLIAC Invitational. In her career, she had nine Top 5 finishes in the javelin, including taking home first place honors in the event six times.
 
Alyssa Feldewert (Wentzville, Mo. – 2015-18)
Near the close of the decade, Feldewert earned All-SLIAC honors in 2018 and was the SLIAC Invitational champion in the javelin in 2015. In 2015, Feldewert earned first place honors in the javelin at the SLIAC Invitational and then in 2018, she was the runner-up in the event at the SLIAC Outdoor Championships en route to earning All-SLIAC honors. In addition to her All-SLIAC accolade and her first place finish at the 2015 SLIAC Invitational, Feldewert recorded the second best toss in the javelin in 2015 at the Billy Hayes Invitational as he recorded a throw of 118'10" (36.23 meters). Feldewert and Rieger are the only two Gorloks in school history to record javelin throws of over 100 feet. In her caeeer, she had nine Top 10 finishes in the javelin, including recording four first place finishes.
