WEBSTER GROVES - The Webster University Athletics Department's website, www.websterathletics.com, has added a new weekly podcast feature to the site called "Blake's Blackboard Stories." 

The podcasts, which are hosted and produced by former Gorlok men's basketball player Blake Ferrell (Ballwin, Mo./Parkway South), will feature interviews with Webster student-athletes, coaches and athletic department staff members about topics that are relevant in today's world of intercollegiate athletics. Ferrell is serving as an intern this semester in the Webster Sports Information Office.

"When Blake approached me about doing a podcast as part of his internship in my office this semester, I was enthused and very supportive of the idea," Webster Sports Information Director Ben Greenberg said. "Without any sports, at least during the fall sports season, I thought this would be a great way to provide our website audience with some added content and also get the chance to feature our student-athletes, coaches and staff members."

Greenberg said that Blake's Blackboard Stories podcast will be recorded on Friday afternoon and will be uploaded to the website every Saturday through the end of the first semester. 

The first "Blake's Blackboard Stories" podcast features Webster senior women's basketball player Darieana Hunter (Norman, Okla./Norman) as Ferrell and Hunter discuss the topic of race relations in collegiate athletics.
