ST. LOUIS, Mo. – This evening the Webster University women's soccer team was back in action when they played host to the Greenville (Ill.) University Panthers in a SLIAC matchup. The Gorloks were able to defeat the Panthers by a final score of 1-0 in overtime to push their winning streak to five straight games and improve their record to 14-3-1 overall and 10-2-1 in SLIAC play. With the loss, the Panthers fall to 10-6 overall at 10-3 in the conference.
The Gorloks controlled the possession in this one as they outshot the Panther 11-5 in the game while putting three of their shots on target. They also led in the corner count as they finished with four corner kicks compared to one from Greenville.
In regulation, neither side was able to take advantage of their opportunities. The Gorloks and the Panthers had plenty of chances to score but were unable to capitalize as the game finished the full 90 minutes in a 0-0 tie.
The Gorloks picked up the tempo to start the overtime period and created several more chances to score. They were finally able to break into the scoring column in the 99
th minute.
Mackenzie O'Neal had the goal for Webster as she was able to finish off a pass from
Mackenzie Sundhausen for her fifth tally of the season. The assist was Sundhausens fifth of the season.

Mackenzie O'Neal all recorded two or more shots for the Gorloks in the contest.
Taryn Banfield was in goal tonight for the Gorloks as she recorded five saves in her ninth solo shutout of the season.
The Gorloks will play their final game of the regular season on Saturday, October 30
th when they travel to Elsah, Illinois, to take on the Principia (Ill.) College Panthers in a SLIAC matchup. The game is set to kick-off at 3:30 p.m.
