ST. LOUIS, Mo. – This morning the NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Track and Field and Cross Country Committee announced the participants for the 2021 NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships.
After finishing 20
th overall yesterday in the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional,
Danielle Schultz has qualified for the NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country Championships. She is the first qualifier for Webster University in school history.
In order to be eligible to participate in the championships, teams and individuals had to qualify in their respective NCAA regional competitions that were held this weekend. The top seven student-athletes from each region who are not a part of a qualifying team, were selected to participate in the championship.
Danielle Schultz was the fourth individual to qualify in the Midwest Region after finishing with a school record time of 22:28 in the 6K race.
The NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships will take place on Saturday, November 20
th in Louisville, Kentucky. The women's race will start at 11 a.m. EST at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park. The race and awards ceremony will be live streamed on
www.NCAA.com.
