Hill and Holifield Set Second Fastest Career 6k Races; Thomas Achieves New Personal Record at 2025 Midwest Regional Championship

WAVERLY, Iowa. - The Webster University women's cross country team closed out the 2025 season by competing in the 2025 NCAA Midwest Regional Championship at Max Cross Country Course on Saturday. WU's Violet Hill and Averie Holifield recorded their second fastest career 6k races while JeRiya Thomas achieved a new personal record.

Hill paced the Gorloks and recorded her second fastest career 6k race with a time of 26:34.4.

Sophomore runner Brie Inman was the second Gorlok that crossed the finish line as she recorded a time of 31:28.7.

Holifield had a great race as she recorded her second fastest career 6k race with a time of 39:12.9. 

Thomas had a fantastic race and achieved a new 6k personal record with a time of 41:08.2.

Senior runner Aissata Kamara rounded out the field for Webster with a time of 41:21.6.

"Our women's team fought through some challenging situations this season. We had some injuries to athletes in our top 5 that set us back from some of our goals. I am proud of our team for continuing to work hard to do their absolute best. I believe the future of our program is very bright" said Head Coach Kyle Robinson.
