Three Gorloks Earn Weekly Awards

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced the Player of the Week awards for the week ending on Sunday, October 16th. For their efforts this past week, Cassie Gray was named the Women's Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week, Mark Moore was named the Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, and Grace Rodgers was named the Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.

Gray, a sophomore out of Columbia, Missouri, led the Gorlok volleyball team to a 2-1 record on the week. She recorded 70 digs through three matches, including 34 against Eureka (Ill.), and averaged 7.0 digs per set. She is currently the only player in the SLIAC to have over 400 digs on the season as she currently sits at 422 on the year. This is her second SLIAC Women's Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week award this season and the second of her career.

Moore, a junior out of Hillsboro, Missouri, was instrumental in the Gorloks two games last week. He scored a goal in a 2-2 draw against Greenville (Ill.) on Wednesday and followed that up with a goal and an assist in a 3-0 win over Westminster (Mo.) on Saturday. He has scored four goals in his last six games, including one goal in each of his last three games, while posting three assists for 11 total points. This is his first SLIAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week award and the second of his career.

Rodgers, a sophomore out of O'Fallon, Missouri, led the Gorloks to a 2-0 record last week. She scored the lone goal in a 1-0 win over Greenville (Ill.) and followed that up with a goal and an assist in a 2-0 win over Westminster (Mo.). Her goals were both game winning goals for the Gorloks. She is currently third in the conference with nine goals while ranking fourth in the conference with 24 total points. This is her second SLIAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week award of both the season and her career.
